The promotional materials for Wonder Woman 1984 are even
more eye-catching than the usual superhero fare. The poster
features a kaleidoscopic explosion of bright and vivid colors.
Our task this issue is to create a similar effect using Photoshop.
Crafting the trippy background is a fun process that uses some
underutilized filters and clever applications of Gradient Map
adjustment layers. There are a lot of seemingly trivial details
with the Gradient Editor to wade through, but that’s just to
demonstrate the technique to get the exact effect shown here.
The technique is widely versatile and can be easily altered to
