W fiber texture in the Layers panel to
make it active. Press Command-A (PC:
Ctrl-A) to select the whole canvas, and
press Command-J (PC: Ctrl-J) to copy
the pixels to a new layer. Selecting the
entire canvas first makes a copy of just
the pixels, not the entire filters smart
object. Drag this new copy up above the
Gradient Map layers in the Layers panel
and set the blending mode to Soft Light.
This helps to accentuate the fiber details
through the color maps.
Step 12: Add a Vibrance adjustment layer
and set the Vibrance to 89 in the Proper-
ties panel. Add a Curves adjustment layer
and create a gentle S shape with the
curve to help increase the contrast. These
settings are just a starting point for your
own experimentation. Adjust them as
desired to get your own unique effects!
