JS:Definitely.WhenI firstmovedtoLondon,
I remembertellingmymanagerthatI didn’t
everwearshortsorskirts.Photoshootshave
kindofhelped,becauseI dosomanyshoots
wheretheyonlyhaveclothesinsamplesizes,
andI’mnotsamplesize.Havingtodealwith
notfittingintocertainclothestaughtmea lot.If
I was15,I wouldhavebeensoupset.Butyou
justhavetowearwhatyou’recomfortablein.
AA: Do you ever read if there are bad
commentsaboutyou?I lovewhenpeople
don’t love my outfit. I’m happy because
I don’t like to feel like I’m fitting in. I’ve
accomplishedwhatI wasaimingfor.
JS: I don’treallyreadthecomments. One
thingthatusedtohappenwas,becausemy
tummy’s not flat, if I wear tight
things,it sticksouta bit.People
comment,“She lookspregnant.”
Peoplethinkthat,becauseI have
loads of followers, I don’t see
things online. When I met
Stormzy, hesaid, “Ifyoulike it,
that’sallthatmatters.”

JS:I wanttoreadsomuchmore.
I onlyreadonebookin 2018 and
started aboutfour.When I was
busy lastyearI lost abitofmy
creativity, soI wanttoget back
into watching more cool films
andgettingreferencesfromthem
forsongsormusicvideos.I really
do love the new music I’ve
released. Probably because it’s
aboutthethingsI’mgoingthrough
now.I’mjustlearningmoreabout
myself.I overthinkalotandhave
battles with myown mind – it’s
goodtowriteaboutit.
AA:I definitelybattledailywiththecriticsin
myhead,butactuallythey’rebrilliantbecause
theypushme.
JS: I’m really hard on myself. Without it,
I wouldn’tbewhoI am.I pushmyselfevery
morning to do a shoot or a video or to
arecording.Butif I messupinashow,then
thewholeshowisshitandI beatmyselfup.
I usedtocryalot,whenallthedoorswere
closed,whenI didstuffwrong.I justgotreally
upset.It’snowaboutfindingthatbalanceof
being hard on myself but knowing when
