PATERNITY AND POSTERITY
The Preah Khan temple, whose name
means “holy sword,” was erected in 1191
by Jayavarman VII in honor of his father,
Dharanindravarman II. The interior
of the vastly scaled structure is a network of
crisscrossing, labyrinthine passageways that
link courtyards and chambers.
