EXTERIOR
The design and build of the house
was influenced by Spanish
architecture, and the name of the
property also pays tribute to
the family’s roots. ‘La Payesa’ refers
to the last of the local women on
Ibiza, before the Balearic island
became what it is today. Whitewashed
cement archways at the entrance
of the property lead into the gardens,
made lush with abundant greenery.
Materials used in the building of
the house were sourced locally,
including handcrafted cement
tiles made by Balinese artisans.
