Have Special Rejuvenating Health Days
We have “Special Health Days” – on these days we
consume only fresh fruit and the juice of fresh fruit.
Dad and I often do a few days of only watermelon and
its juice when these wonderful melons are blood-red,
ripe and plentiful. We call this “The Bragg Watermelon
Flush” (a great kidney cleanser, etc.). We enjoy going to
the beach, lake, river or a mountain resort armed with
plenty of watermelons, and feast on absolutely nothing
but this fruit for 1 to 3 days. You may also chew and eat
the seeds – so nutritious for you! We love to cut the
watermelon up and make juice, using a juicer or cheese
cloth as a strainer. We put this delicious liquid in a glass
bottle and refrigerate. When thirsty after hiking, playing
tennis, exercising, etc. in the warm sunshine, we enjoy
our watermelon and also its’ juice – you will also!
We often enjoy full days of only fresh, ripe fruits,
cherries, watermelon, fresh grapes, apricots, etc. (Save the
apricot pits, kernels are high in B- 17. Dry, age, and then crack
the pits and eat 1 - 2 kernels a day.) Very often in our busy
lives, we will make it strictly a fruit day. We both work
and play harder on our all-fruit detox cleansing day!
Of course the heavy meat, egg and refined starch eater
might feel faint on an exclusively fruit meal, let alone a
full day of detox cleansing. The average person that’s
filled with toxic poisons wants their white bread, french
fries and meat with plenty of salt. Then they must wash
all this down with plenty of unhealthy beverage like cola
Bragg’s Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar is vital to the body’s
digestive balance by stimulating the flow of precious enzymes
and saliva in the mouth. I recommend for improved digestion you
sip 3 tsp. ACV before meals to activate flow of vital digestive juices.
- Gabriel Cousens, M.D., Author of Conscious Eating
If families could be induced to substitute the healthy organic apple,
ripe, juicy and luscious, in place of white sugar, white flour pies,
cakes, candies and other sweets with which American children too
often eat - soon doctors’ bills would diminish sufficiently enough in a
single year to lay up a stock of this delicious apples for a full years use.
Watermelon and it’s seeds (chew or grind them) are cleansers and
contain cucurbocitrin that also helps reduce swelling (edema) due to
excess retained water from eating processed foods and salt.
