TV news bulletin is a fun format for sharing the highlights

of any filmed event, from D-Day celebrations to a family

holiday! iMovie provides a collection of animated titles

and transitions to give your footage a newsreel look. You could

even set up your project as a Trailer that adds news-themed

titles and transitions to your footage automatically. However, to

give you more freedom of choice we’ll show you how to manually

cherry-pick through a collection of news-themed assets to add

the most suitable ones to your footage.

We’ve provided you with clips that we shot at the 75th

Anniversary of D-Day in France. Although the clips cover a range

of daysandlocations,thenews-themedgraphicshelpblend

themtogetherintoa coherentsequence.

More to work with

After editing a project using a particular

theme you can experiment with

different looks by changing the theme

in the Settings menu. Some themes

have more titles and transitions than

others. For example the Bright theme

has only three titles and one transition

whereas the Scrapbook theme has

eight titles and four transitions.
