Test your generation QR code by pointing the iPhone camera at it. It’ll ask if
you want the device to join the Wi-Fi network.

Changing your password
If you alter your Wi-Fi password, you
must edit the shortcut but be aware, your
password will always be viewable within
that shortcut. For greater privacy, consider
using an ‘Ask For Input’ action in place of

this Text box (simply search for it). Then
replace ‘Text’ in step six of our tutorial
with ‘Ask For Input’. When the shortcut
runs, it’ll instead prompt for a password
and base the QR code on your answer.

Generate QR Code
Back to the Search box now. This time,
enter ‘Generate QR Code’ and the relevant
option will appear. As before, you’ll simply need
to tap this to add it to the shortcut.

8

Ensure it shows
Finally, we need a way of presenting the
QR code to you. This is as simple as searching
for Quick Look and tapping the entry. To finish
up, tap ‘Done’ in the top-right corner.

9

Play the shortcut
Tap the ‘Library’ button and your new
shortcut should be ready and waiting. When
you tap this, the shortcut will run through the
steps you created and show you the QR code.

In the Text box that’s now part of your
shortcut’s flow, enter your Wi-Fi password

another Text box (follow the previous step).
