Select Dock
The Dock is called upon
by pressing the physical
side button on your Apple
Watch. Your selected
favourite apps will appear
here (unless you have it set
to display most recent).

Scroll apps
Either use your finger to
scroll up and down the
screen or use the Digital
Crown. In either case you’ll
be able to select an app
from your Dock.

All apps
If the app that you want
isn’t in the Dock you can
tap ‘All Apps’ at the bottom
of the list and you’ll be
taken to the Home screen
of your Watch.

Is it possible to use my Watch Dock to launch my favourite
apps, and not just my most recent? If so, how? Dean Etheridge

I have heard that it is possible to hide photos on my iPhone.
How is this done? Stephen Sinclair

1

Enable settings
Go to Settings>Notes and
then turn on the ‘“On My iPhone”
Account’, then tap ‘Password’
and enable ‘Use Touch ID’ or set
a new password.

2

Locate and share
Open your Photos app and
find the image that you wish
to hide. Tap on the share icon
and choose the ‘Add to Notes’
option. Now open Notes.

3

Lock down note
Finally, open the photo note,
tap on the share icon and choose
the ‘Lock Note’ option. Enter the
password and then delete the
image from your Photos app.

Recently my Mac has
stopped playing sound
through its speakers. Is
there anything I can do
about it?
We presume that you have
tried going to System
Preferences>Sound and
then making sure the right
output device is connected
and that the volume is at
a sufficient level? If so,
try resetting the NVRAM
by shutting down your
computer and then starting
it back up again while
holding the Cmd+Alt+P+R
keys. When you hear the
second startup chime, let
go of the keys and this
should resolve the issue.

You can hide photos by selecting an image, tapping
the share button and then choosing the ‘Hide’ option.
But this only moves it to the ‘Hidden’ section in the
Albums screen. To hide a photo more securely, you

can actually attach it to a note in your Notes app
and then password-protect the note to ensure that
no prying eyes can access it and view your hidden
images. Here’s how it’s done...
