external drives, meaning professionals can plug
in a USB drive and start working. It works even
better when paired with new local storage, zip
and unzip capabilities and Safari improvements
which mean you’ll always see the desktop
version of a site for improved user experience,
whilst a download manager is a game-changer
and makes the iPad more of a computer, and
SideCar is the cherry on top, allowing users to
open macOS on their iPad as a second Mac
display for the first time.


THE FUTURE OF THE iPA D


Towards the back end of 2018, you’d be
forgiven for assuming that Apple had taken
its foot off the gas with the iPad. Of course,
everything changed when the iPad Pro was
unveiled, demonstrating that, when given the
time, the Cupertino firm could still meet the
demands of today’s power users and deliver a
product that not only looks great, but offers the
power and flexibility designers, photographers,
and creatives need. And this year, with the
introduction of iPadOS, which will be released
to the public next month, Apple has further
proven that it means business with iPad - the
clearest sign yet that Apple sees a future for
its tablet arm.


Though software is incredibly important, it’s
hardware that really gets people talking. The
changes to the iPad lineup may be smaller this
year than in some previous years, but Apple
is already working on 2020 iPads, with the
company planning to release a next-generation
