Don’t take me for granted it says, I have feelings.

I know what I am talking about. I have multiple

machines in my sewing room. Many are top-of-

the-lines – from the days when zigzag was the

latest thing, to machines that have more memory

than my laptop. Right now I don’t sew with any

of them.

A few years ago I acquired a rescue and it has

been good to me. Who rescued whom, as they

say? This is the story.

For some time I had heard of an old classic that

was supposed to have the elusive best stitch. Hard

to come by I eventually found a body discarded

in a rural high school. It spoke to me. Scratched

by too many students waiting for the bell to ring,

most of the vital parts were missing. Knowing

from personal experience that some of us still

function perfectly well with vital parts missing
