MICHAEL D. YOUNG is the president of Social Science Automation,
Inc., a consulting firm providing remote leader assessment and auto-
mated text coding tools to government agencies, commercial busi-
nesses, and university researchers. He earned his Ph.D. in political
science from the Ohio State University and is particularly interested
in cognitive approaches to foreign policy analysis.
