The next pane in Hyper-V Manager is Checkpoints, which is the new name for
Snapshots. Checkpoints enable a point-in-time view of a virtual machine to be saved
and used in the future. The view includes disk, memory, and device status. This is
covered in detail later in the book.
The bottom-center pane shows detailed information about the selected virtual
machine, including a thumbnail of the console and basic information such as VM
version, generation, notes, and a basic health status. Additional tabs are related to
