infusions without vitamins, prolonged isoniazide treatment, malig-
nant carcinoid
Signs & Symptoms
■dermatitis, diarrhea, dementia=symptoms of pellagra; cutae-
nous erythema, intertrigo, cutaneous hypertrophy, mucous mem-
brane inflammation, tongue edema, abdominal distention, psy-
chosis, encephalopathy, stomatitis

■Basic urine studies:
➣N-methylnicotinamide excretion <0.8 mg/day
