THE FUTURE OF THE M-SERIES

Whilst Apple is now offering one of the most
advanced Mac lineups in history, the truth is that
it’s not just the Mac where users can find cutting-
edge tools for work. The M-series chips have
made their way into the iPad line-up, with both
the iPad Pro and iPad Air, offering supercharged
performance in a tablet form. Sure, Apple will
need to work to make iPadOS more attractive to
professionals, adding software like Final Cut Pro
and enabling more flexibility, but the iPad is now a
genuine competitor to the Mac, especially for on-
the-go use.

As Apple further sees success in its M chips,
we could even see it arrive on iPhone this year,
serving as a successor to the A-series. After all,
the more M chips Apple can manufacture and
produce, the lower it will cost, and the greater
the flexibility for the Mac, iPad, and iPhone,
further unifying the three systems and allowing
for more cross-platform experiences.
