Meat Patty
Preheat oven to 180°C
In a medium sized bowl add carrots, parsley,
onion, lean beef mince, breadcrumbs, sugar and
salt reduced tomato sauce and egg
Using your hands or a spoon, mix the ingredients
well until all elements are combined
Section the mixture into medium sized balls and
place on a baking sheet
Preheat a pan on high, and spray with olive oil
Place the meat balls in the pan, pressing down to
slightly flatten, and sear the top and bottom
Once seared transfer the meatballs to a tray and
bake in the oven for 10 mins
Preparing the bun
Place wholemeal buns on the pan to toast for
5 mins
Prep the tomato, cucumber, lettuce leaves and
beetroot to assemble on the bun
Once meat patty is cooked, arrange the burger
with the prepped vegetables to complete

· 500g lean beef mince
· ½ cup breadcrumbs
· 1 tbsp salt and sugar
reduced tomato sauce
· 1 egg
· Olive oil cooking spray
Burger
· 6 wholemeal buns
· 1 tomato (sliced)
· 1 cucumber (sliced)
· 3-4 lettuce leaves
· 2-3 beetroot slices
· Tasty light cheese slices
