8 MOST EXCITING FEATURES OF THE RASPBERRY PI 4

NATIVE GIGABIT
ETHERNET
Previous Raspberry Pi models
were capped at 300Mb/s, but the Pi 4
can now supply the full bandwidth.

BLUETOOTH 5.
Not much to talk about here.
Bluetooth 5.0 goes faster,
further, and draws less power than
its predecessor, Bluetooth 4.2.

UPDATED
VIDEO
DECODE
Resolution
isn’t the only
thing that’s
improved; the
new hardware
decode of HEVC
video supports
up to 60fps,
double the
Raspberry Pi 3.

UP TO 4GB
OF DDR
The Raspberry
Pi 3 had 1GB
of RAM at
LPDDR2, while
this model
comes in
three flavors:
1GB, 2GB, or
4GB, all at
crisp LPDDR
speeds.

1.5GHZ
QUAD-CORE
CPU
A new 64-bit
ARM Cortex-A
processor from
Broadcom
promises
maximum
performance
figures up to
three times
as fast as
the previous
Cortex-A53 CPU.

MICRO
HDMI
PORTS
With two
Micro HDMI
ports, the
Raspberry Pi
4 can support
two monitors
in 1440p, or
one monitor
in 4K.

USB 3.
The number of USB ports
hasn’t changed, but
they’ve been upgraded: Two of the
four ports now support USB 3.0.

USB-C POWER
While the voltage might still be
capped at 5V, the Raspberry
Pi 4 swaps from Micro-USB to a
USB-C power connector.
