(in the “Google Drive” submenu on your computer) before
entering someone’s email address. You can also add a note to be
included in an email that is sent out.8
ADVANCED SHARING OPTIONS
By default, people you share files with can edit them, but
this can be changed. Having selected the “Share” option,Center someone’s email address, then click the button to
the right before deciding whether they should be able
to view, edit, or comment on the file [Image C]. You can
also click the “Advanced” link to see other options, such
as making files publicly available.9
EDIT FILES ONLINE
Google has a number of online tools to create
and edit files—including a word processor and a
spreadsheet. Thanks to these, you can edit files online
without the need to download them and load them into
specific programs. Despite being online apps, they are
surprisingly feature-packed, and you should find that
you are able to accomplish pretty much everything you
would expect.10
GET MORE STORAGE
You are given 15GB of space for free with
Google Drive, but the time may come when
you need more—and you need to pay for this. You can
upgrade your storage by clicking the “Upgrade” link
in Backup and Sync, or in Google Drive online. You can
then select the amount of storage you want, and choose
