Will has^ managed^ to^ shoot^ a^ wonderful^ group^ of

images^ that^

document^ his^ travels^ in^ a^ fun,^ colourful^ way.

My biggest^ reservation^ is^

that^ in^ his^ Northern^ Lights^ shot^ there^ has^ a^ b

it of camera-shake^ in^

the mountains^ when^ zooming^ in.^ This^ is^ may^ be^ b

ecause^ the^ camera^

was^ knocked^ during^ the^ exposure,^ or^ the^ ima

ge stabilization^ was^ left^

on, which^ can^ cause^ a^ blurry^ image^ when^ on^ a^ t

ripod. If^ you’re^ lucky^

enough^ to^ have^ another^ chance^ I’d^ suggest^ a^ rock

  • solid^ tripod,^ engage^

the^ two^ sec^ Self-timer^ mode^ and^ switch^ off^ a

ny image^ stabilization.

of luck, hoped to see the

guaranteed in March.

I researched the best way to
shoot them and learnt that you
need a wide aperture, high
ISO and a long exposure to let
in as much light as possible.
The problem was that I was
shooting on a moving boat, so
that did not go well... Luckily
I had the chance to shoot them
again when we visited Lofoten
islands. While, at -15ºC, it

The coastal cruise of
Norway is touted as the most
scenic route in the world. As
a photographer, it is hard to
argue with that statement.
