I’m finding great joy inareality show called90 Day Fiancé.
Foreigners travel to the US onaK-1 visa to experience life
in the States with theirAmerican partners.Once they arrive,
the couple must get married within 90 days or the foreign
partner will be sent home.Most of the couples featured on
the show know verylittle about each other (never mind the
language barrier and culture shock) and now their relationship
is placed in the pressure cooker that is theAmerican
immigration system–aperfect recipe for realityTV gold!
The cast of crazy characters includes spoilt Brazilian brat
Larissa and cat-obsessed mama’sboy Colt.The best part is
that Larissa has to move into Colt’sVegas home (which he still
shares with his meddling mother,Debbie).
Igenerally fast-forward through the
segments that feature the more genuine
couples.Iprefer the blatantly transactional
situations where the foreigner is in it for the
green card and theAmerican demands love,
sex and commitment.It’soften heartless and
kind of trashy,but the drama and honesty
