The ink inside most pens is sticky,
but not in a dry–erase marker.
With a normal pen, you don’t want your writing
to get rubbed off or smudged. With dry–erase
markers, you can wipe the ink off easily. These
pens have a special chemical in them that forms
a slippery layer between the ink and the writing
surface. Once the ink has dried, it can be lifted
off in one piece.
