The Witch is coming. Don’t worry, you
can stop looking over your shoulder- we mean the game, silly. Last
month we were given our first good
look at this psychological horror and
it looks terrifying. It has all the right
elements: creepy, dark cabins, even
creepier, darker woods and horrific
creatures of the night chomping at the
bit to hunt you down...
You play as Ellis, a former cop
investigating the disappearance of a
young boy. With your flashlight and
camcorder in hand, your search in the
Black Hills Forest turns into something
far more sinister and supernatural.
You won’t be going up against the
forces of evil on your own, mind. You’ll
have your canine companion Bullet by
your side, and he’ll do more than just
keep you company. Your pooch will be
able to follow commands and help you
in your mission by seeking out items.
Bloober Team is the mastermind
behind the psychological horrors
Observer and Layers Of Fear, and the
studio seems like the perfect choice
for developing this adaptation. So long
as it doesn’t kill the dog, that is. QBlair Witch is due to be released on
Xbox One on the 30 August.
