INSIDER DISCUSSION

New console, new

games – and a whole

new set of demands

With the next generation Xbox, currently known only as

Project Scarlett, looming on the horizon, we discuss what

we want to see from the new machine

Doesn’t time fly?
It feels like only
yesterday we were
opening up boxes
and our lives to
a new console
generation with
the Xbox One, and now, almost six
years and more than a few grey hairs
later, we’re talking about Xbox’s
next iteration with Project Scarlett.
This new device might not even have
a proper name yet, but that hasn’t
stopped us from coming up with a
list of demands as to what we think
Microsoft’s new machine should be
capable of.

games would be brilliant.

Drew: A trend I’d like to see continue
from the Xbox One X is the option to
choose where you devote the console’s
power. Sometimes I’m playing a game
where the textures are amazing, but I’d
rather the framerate be stable.

Robin: I think Xbox’s elephant in the
room is its interface. The experience of
finding what you want when you want
it is still, even after countless updates,
