Stripes in a multitude of colours have been
used to create cheerful children’s patterns in
the new book from West Yorkshire Spinners.
The ColourLab Kids Pattern Book, designed by
Jenny Watson, makes use of both the solid
and self-striping colourways of ColourLab
yarn, which is a DK-weight pure British wool.
The five garment projects are sized to
fit children aged two to 10 years, and offer
clever colour combinations and playful design
details. There’s a comfortable hoody with a
slip stitch pattern band, a striped jumper,
a yoked cardigan, and sweaters combining
cables and stripes. The collection also
contains patterns for a blanket and cushion
to decorate a child’s bedroom.
