planstokeepfightingonthat

Schmuhlsaidonebig
challengeisc ombating
disinformationand
misinformation,particularly
comingfromconservativemedia
outlets,includingFoxNews.He
hasbeengivenmoneyfromthe
DemocraticNationalCommittee
tofund awarroomposition“for
metolookatinnovativewaysto
fightmisinformation,
disinformation,conspiracy
theories,fakenews,allofthat,”
hesaid.
Schmuhlhopestoseeprogress
eventuallybutknowsitwilltake
time.“I’mnotnaivethatit’s
goingtochangething sinsta ntly,”
hesaidoftheworkhehas
started. Thisyear ,thepolitical
windsareblowingagainstthe
Democrats,eveninplacesthat
arelessredthanIndiana.Next
year,Indianawillhavelocal
elections,andheexpects
Democratstop erformbetterin
thosecontests.
