How Camera School works
Camera School is a free skills course for photographers,
designed to help you take the best photos of your life.
With six fun-filled modules covering still life, landscape,
architecture, and more, this course is one of the best ways
to discover new genres while honing your camera skills.
To take part, all you need is a DSLR, mirrorless camera
or creative compact, and a few spare hours a month.
The course consists of six modules, each of which
will introduce you to a new photographic subject. We’ve
designed the course to stretch your creativity and develop
your skills with jargon-free advice, simple step-by-steps and
homework tasks. These homework tasks are where you’ll put
your new skills into practice. They’ll require you to explore
both your environment and your camera, while challenging
you just enough to keep things interesting.
Once you’ve completed your homework, you’ll need to
upload your best image to the special homework gallery,
where the Camera School team will mark it (gold, silver or
bronze), offer feedback and send you a certificate. Keep
