My name is Lilly Mattingly and I was
born in Louisville Kentucky and have
lived there for 19 years. I’ve just recently
gotten into modeling over the past few
months... modeling has helped me come
out of my shell and gain confidence and
can’t wait to see where it takes me in life.
Tell us about a bit about yourself?
A little bit about my self is that I’ve lived
in Louisville Kentucky for 19 years now
and am starting college this fall at UK. I’ve
always been a kind of shy person and I
feel like modeling has helped me come
out of my shell recently and given me the
courage to show off my huge personality
that those close to me know well.
What was your initial reaction when you
were chosen to shoot for FHM?
My initial reaction when I heard that I
was chosen to shoot for FHM was Shock
and excitement, I couldn’t believe that I
was actually going to be in a magazine!
How do you prepare for a shoot?
I prepare for a shoot by trying to eat
extra healthy and hitting the gym a
little harder when I know I have a shoot
coming up soon.
Describe your perfect man.
The perfect man to me is someone who’s
supportive of what I do, has compassion
for those around him, is trusting, and
comfortable in his own skin.
What is your ideal date?
My ideal date is the typical cheesy
romantic candle lit dinner at a nice
restaurant or the two of us cooking
dinner at home together then watching
movies all night long.
What do you do for fun?
What I do for fun is spending quality
time with the people in my life that I care
about which can range from going out
on the weekends with my girlfriends or
binge watching tv shoes and movies in
the basement with my boyfriend and
dogs.
Tell us a bit about your most
embarrassing moment.
One of my most embarrassing moments
is when I started my first waitress
job and was still pretty nervous I was
walking dishes to the back of the kitchen
and slipped in a big puddle of gross dish
water in front of everyone and my legs
flew up into the air causing me to land
completely on my side in front of all my
new co-workers.
What would you say is the most difficult
part about being a model?
I think the most difficult part about
being a model is comparing yourself
to other models...the model industry
is extremely competitive and it takes
discipline and confidence in order to
succeed in it.
What are you most looking forward to
doing this year?
What I’m looking forward to most this
year is seeing where life takes me as
I start a new chapter in it. This year is
going to have a lot of major changes for
me such as seeing where my modeling
career takes me along with the transition
into college.
Lastly, what is your life motto or a quote
that means a lot to you?
A quote that means a lot to me is “Here’s
to strong women. May we know them.
May we be them. May we raise them.”
This quote is meaningful to me because
I’ve always been very close with my
mom, we’ve been there for each other
through many tough times, and I’ve
always looked up to her as the strong,
caring, loving, and supportive woman
that I hope to be some day.
