FRUITY FUN


Guava, Honey, and
Cheese Bites
Mix together ½ cup cream cheese
and ¼ cup guava jam until smooth
and creamy. Spread guava-cream
cheese mixture on top of round
crackers (we used Fita) or crostini.
Drizzle with ¼ cup honey and sprinkle
with freshly cracked pepper. Makes
15 to 20.

EGG-CITING


Sausage and Egg Bites
Cook 4 large eggs (beaten)
in a nonstick skillet over
medium-low heat, occasionally
scraping the bottom of the
pan, until just set. Season with
salt and pepper. Transfer to
a bowl and set aside. Evenly
top round crackers (we used
Fita) or crostini with heaping
teaspoonfuls of scrambled eggs.
Divide ½ cup cooked and
crumbled longganisa of your
choice on top of the eggs. Serve
immediately. Makes 15 to 20.

Oven-roasted Tomato
and Feta Cheese Bites
Slice 10 medium plum
tomatoes in half and place
on a baking sheet lined with
parchment paper. Drizzle with
extra virgin olive oil and
season with salt and pepper.
Roast in an oven preheated to
400°F for 30 to 40 minutes.
Let cool and set aside. Top
20 round crackers (we used
Fita) or crostini with roasted
tomato halves. Top each tomato
with 1 teaspoon crumbled feta
cheese and fresh oregano
leaves. Makes 20.
