to provide a
new spin on
something that
people loved,”
says Ziering.
early three decades after the
launch of BEVERLY HILLS,
90210, the megahit that helped put
Fox on the map, the original cast is mak-
ing magic again. Ian Ziering, who played
wealthy teen Steve Sanders and ser ves as
one of the new show BH90210’s executive

retreads and reboots, we’re breaking

What Happens In Vegas...
In the Wednesday, August 7, premiere,
fi ctionalized versions of real-life actors
Jason Priestley, Shannen Doherty, Jen-
nie Garth, Tori Spelling, Brian Austin
Green and Gabrielle Carteris (all play-
ing themselves) will connect at a Las
Vegas fan convention. “That’s where
we all see each other for the fi rst time
in a long while,” Ziering previews.
While it’s sure to be heartwarming,
old feelings, rivalries and awkward mo-
ments come up, too. “There’s a lot of true
grit involved,” Ziering explains, “because
of Tori’s character, whose fi nancial woes
prompt her to go to great lengths to fi nd
a way to turn her situation around.”
The mother of fi ve wrangles her old
pals into discussing resurrecting their hit
show, this time with themselves as the
creative force behind it. How will the idea
be received? “You’ll see some pushback,”
Ziering shares. “Ever yone has their rea-
sons for doing it or not wanting to do it,
and we’ll deal with that.”
Rolling The Dice
In the Wednesday, August 14, episode,
the whole group is on board and has re-
turned to Los Angeles, eager to see if the
concept will fl y. Ziering invites viewers to
enjoy a peek “behind the Hollywood cur-
tain” as the cast “takes pitch meetings at
various networks.”
