MAY 2022 • NAT GEO KIDS (^9)
It might not be the top of the world, but it’ll sure feel
like it! When you relax in this edgy rooftop pool in
Singapore—57 floors up—you’re eye-to-eye with some
of the city’s tallest skyscrapers.

CROWD
CONTROL
Talk about living in
luxury: Some of the
condos at a proposed
building in Mumbai,
India, would offer
balcony pools. Just
don’t move in if you’re
afraid of heights:
The glass-enclosed
pools go up a dizzying
37 stories!
The water in the Red Pool at
The Library hotel in Thailand
may look a bit freaky, but fear
not: The scarlet hue comes
from the deep red, orange,
and yellow tiles lining the
bottom of the pool.
On sweltering summer
days before the
pandemic, swimmers
floating in inner tubes
packed this saltwater
pool in China. The huge
indoor water park—
which also featured
musical acts and rides—
could hold up to 10,
people. So much for
personal space!
The pool at the Joule Hotel in
Dallas, Texas, really leaves it all
hanging out there—eight feet
out there, to be exact. One
side of the special swimming
spot juts out from the edge of
the hotel, offering guests a
unique way to check out the
city below.

LAPS OF LUXURY
Longer than 20 Olympic-size pools and up to 115 feet deep,
this supersize pool outside the San Alfonso del Mar resort
in Chile holds 66 million gallons of water. It’s so big that
many visitors make their way from end to end in a sailboat!
