Herbarium is a place where fresh plant specimens, mounted
on sheets are kept randomly. Herbarium is a repository for
present use. It provides information about the local flora
only and also about the ecology of different places. Herbaria
are used for correct and authentic identification of known
plants. It depicts the anatomical variations found in species.
