Sharks, and their relatives. When public aquariums have chimaeras, they
are almost always in a separate, smaller, darkened tank illuminated with red
light because chimaeras avoid brightly lit habitats.
The Monterey Bay Aquarium in California has been the first public
aquarium to successfully exhibit White Sharks, despite efforts at several
other facilities. Since 2004, MBA has held a half dozen 4- to 5-foot-long
