Bibliography


Hundreds and hundreds of books have been written about sharks and their biology,
fisheries, and conservation. Some books are primarily personal accounts of experi-
ences with sharks by researchers, journalists, adventurers, and fishers. Many could
be considered coffee-table books because of their emphasis on photographs; fortu-
nately, such photos are becoming increasingly available on the web. The following is
a selective catalog of books and review articles that we have found especially useful,
particularly those with a more scientific focus.
