Human league
‘Being Human’, a new permanent gallery exploring what it means to be

Photo history fans take note(s)
The Royal Academy of Arts is running a weekend course on the
history of photography in November. The course is suitable for
enthusiastic beginners as well as photography history enthusiasts
and will include lectures and site visits. It runs from 9-10 November
from 10am-5pm each day, and costs £420. Tickets at bit.ly/raacourse.

New tool checks

memory card health
Digital cameras are only as
good as their memory cards
and a new tool from ProGrade
claims to be able to check
the condition of your card
and return it to ‘factory new’
condition. The kicker is that it
only works with ProGrade cards
and card readers, but it sounds
like good value at $29.99 (just
under £25) considering the pain
caused by a faulty card. See
shop.progradedigital.com.

elements in 9 groups, with two aspherical elements; seven aperture
blades; a metal mount and gold-plated contacts to enhance signal

but for updates, see http://www.photospecialist.co.uk/yongnuo.
