ON THE COVER
A killer T cell (red) attacks an ovarian cancer
cell (white) in this digital reconstruction of
high-resolution electron micrographs. A view
into the T cell reveals the positions of its
internal structures (organelles) at the precise
moment that the T cell attempts to destroy
its target. The cancer cell, however, resists
this assault by activating a mechanism to
seal perforations in its
plasma membrane.
