value, ground and consequence, and essence and accident. A more philosophically
satisfying defense of ontological pluralism would include a statement and defense of
the best version of ontological pluralism that does systematically account for these
phenomena. I would have preferred to do this, but given that it has taken me many
pages and many years to write this book, this task is for the future. I believe that the
explorations here will at least be of use to any future persons who take it up.
