LACE SHAWL


Row 24 Sl wyif, K1, P9, k2tog, yo, K2, P to last 16 sts, k2tog, yo, K2,
P10, K2.


SHAWL
Cast on 90 sts, using a stretchy cast on. (Long tail cast on holding
2 needles together is recommended).
Row 1 (RS) K to end.
Row 2 Sl wyif, K to end.
Rep last row 2 more times.
Row 1 (RS) Work Row 1 of Chart, working pattern rep twice. (On first
repeat, knit stitches marked in purple on Chart).
Row 2 Work Row 2 of Chart, working pattern repeat twice. Continue
working through all 24 rows of Chart a total of 14 times. On last rep,
purl sts marked in purple on Row 24).


Next row Sl wyif, K to end.
Rep last row 3 more times.
Cast off using Russian cast-off. Block using pins.

STEP-BY-STEP YO YARN OVER (BETWEEN KNIT STITCHES)


1 Bring the yarn to the front of the
needles before you work the next
stitch.


2 Insert the right-hand needle into
the next stitch, and wrap the yarn
around the right-hand needle to
knit the stitch.

3 This will bring the yarn between
the needles to the front, and you
can then pull it through the stitch as
normal.

4 Slip the stitch off the needle. You
will notice that the yarn over forms
an extra loop to the right of the
stitch you have just worked.

Tr y not to rush the finishing – blocking your lace
work will make all the difference to your shawl
