The pyrin domain (PYD)

The latest addition to the list of death adapter domains is the pyrin domain (PYD).
In contrast to the domains mentioned previously, the pyrin domain was identified
purely by bioinformatic approaches in the complete absence of interaction data or
other functional information. A region of localized sequence homology was detected
