large mucous float. The “wingspan” of the animal is about 10 cm.

Plate 6.9 Euchaeta norvegica, a large (about 3.5 mm), predatory copepod. The
antennules extend to the side and the urosome is down in this typical resting posture.
Eggs in this genus are held in a sac attached to the anterior urosomal segment.
