further characterization of neuroantigens may provide appropriate therapeutic
interventions that may block the production of those specific neuroantigens,
and neutralize them by blocking antibodies (i.e., anti‐Rh antibodies given to
mothers with Rh‐incompatibility to protect against development of erythro
blastosis fetalis), thus raising the optimistic prospect that some future cases
of ASD or related neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders could be
prevented.
