AshtonKutcherrevealedincourtlastweekhe“freakedout”after
believing he could be implicated in the murder of his then-girlfriend
Ashley Ellerin back in 2001, as he testified in the murder trial of
suspected serial killer Michael Gargiulo on May 29.
The 41-year-old actor told the packed LA court he had dinner plans
with 22-year-old Ashley, one of Michael’s alleged victims, on the
evening of her murder. “I knocked on the door and there was no
answer,” revealed the star of showing up at Ashley’s Hollywood Hills
home on February 22, 2001. “I knocked again, and once again, no
answer. At this point I pretty well assumed she had left for the night
and that I was late, and she was upset.”
Chillingly, Ashton says he then glanced through the window and saw
what he believed to be wine stains on the floor and left unalarmed.
But the next day, the actor says he flew into a panic after learning what
happened to Ashley, who police say died after being stabbed 47 times.
“After I heard, I went to the detectives and said, ‘My fingerprints are on
the door,’” he told the court. “I was freaking out.”‘MY FINGERPRINTS
