Challenges in patients’ access to care, and in reimbursement
to CRNAs who provide pain services, have resulted in a vol-
untary subspecialty certification in nonsurgical pain man-
agement (NSPM) for CRNAs. An evaluation was conducted
of perceptions toward the value of certification in NSPM.
