In the evening enjoy the gastro menu starting weekly with
new dishes from the Chef’s weekly suggestions. The chefs
receive weekly fresh oysters from Oléron and we have
created numerous tasty dishes made from local ingredients
as well as international flavors. Start with a black pudding
tartlet or a potato and curry soup or an oyster soup or an
octopus carpaccio with mild curry or foie gras velouté with
morilles or a Charolais beef tartare or a fresh palm heart
salad with truffle vinaigrette. Continue the journey with
risotto seafood or a Red Snapper filet provencale vegetables
smoke fish and potato brandade or an octopus curry. If you
fancy a good piece of meat after days of fish plates, visit the
meat corner for meat lovers with its 400 gr ribeye steak La
Normande or a Salers beef striploin of 250 gr served with
either baked potato and garlic butter or French fries with a
fresh béarnaise sauce, raifort and pepper mustard sauce.
If you enjoy vegetarian dishes, then be sure to order
the goat cheese tartlet or vegetable risotto with summer
truffles or how about a crunchy vegetables curry. If you
want to completely go out of your boundaries than opt
for the cheese fondue or Bouchot mussels casserole
“marinières” or “vin blanc” or “red curry”. Having a special
occasion, order the Chinese fondue and enjoy cooking
your filets of fish or your calamari or your veal filet or your
chinese noodles...
The whole family is catered for at La Plage, with a whole
exciting range of kid’s specials: 100 % beef burger or
pasta with home made Bolognese or fish and chips or
the signature chicken Yakitori, all of course (if requested)
accompanied with real ketchup, french fries or rice.
On a lazy Sunday morning, enjoy an exquisite brunch
“à la carte” with scrambled eggs , asparagus and truffles
or perhaps Eggs Benedict, the freshly baked croissants
feuilletés or bread blades, a fresh cucumber (grown in
Seychelles) salad or a smoked salmon plate.
Relax with a drink on the terrace, with a vast menu
boasting everything from fresh juices to tasty cocktails
made with the best spirits or a glass of bubbles with a
Prosecco or a Champagne or enjoy of glass of wine by the
glass or by the bottle selection in all 3 colours.
Do be sure to ask about special menus available for
special occasions for 2 or more as the Chef will be delighted
to suggest various menus that can be paired with the wines
of your choice.
La Plage is open 7 days a week from 11:00 AM until 23:00
PM. The team is composed of long lasting staff and a few
students eager to learn, lead by the eldest son of the family.
The La Plage team has great synergy and it is clear their
sole intention is to make everyone welcome inside of the
establishment. From Christopher who has been with this
restaurant for over 10 years as headwaiter to new young
Seychellois students who wish to establish themselves in
the world of service, the La Plage team covers all areas and
