You may not find turf as
lush as Wembley in the
small village of Passu,
but it’s home to one of
the most breathtaking
pitches on the planet.
Sitting at the foot of the
Karakoram mountain
range in the far north of
Pakistan, the pitch has
hosted fixtures in the
budding Gilgit-Baltistan
Girls Football League run
by sisters Sumaira and
Karishma Inayat, giving
females in this remote
area the opportunity to
play. With a backdrop
like that, who wouldn’t
fancy a kickabout?
