MOMENT OF TRIUMPH
The reverse of the Narmer Pal-
ette features a large figure of the
king wearing the red crown of
Lower Egypt and inspecting the
beheaded bodies of his enemies.
Featured are two Mesopota-
mian-style serpopards with in-
tertwined necks. Beneath them,
a bull, perhaps Narmer in animal
form, charges the walls of a city.
