INTERIOR FRESCOES
Giorgio Vasari was
commissioned by
Cosimo de’ Medici to
decorate the inside
of the dome. The
frescoes, which depict
the Last Judgment,
were completed by
Federico Zuccaro in
1579, after Vasari’s
death.
