here’s just something about Mars, isn’t
there? For a dusty, featureless wasteland,
it’s oddly evocative, in a way that sci-fi
stories just can’t resist. So of course it
makes perfect sense that the follow up to Deliver
Us the Moon is seeing red.

Deliver Us Marsoffers an atmospheric
journey across theplanet, as you struggle
to recover lostcolony ships in agalaxy
where humanity lingers on the brink of
extinction. The story feels grounded in
hard science fiction and realistic ideas of
space travel and exploration – though
we’renot exactly surewhat plausible
technologyit is that allows you to havea
little floating round droneas a sidekick.
Given Mars’rockysurface, it makes
sense that the game introduces a
climbing system, allowing you to useyour
trusty pick to clamber around onits
dusty red mountains. You’ll also
overcomeother “mental andphysical
challenges” – if thefirst game is anything
to go by,expect lotsof
messing about with cool
near-future gadgets.
A teaser, showing the main
character stranded in a
spaceship crash and looking out
on the dusty expanse of the planet, sets
the tonebut doesn’treveal much –
expect more info to be released in the
coming months.
