- Double-check to make sure your helmet is
properly strapped on. - Pump front brake lever and rear brake ped-
al before leaving pit lane and going on track.
3. Stay hydrated.
- Check all bolts and fasteners on the front
end after a wheel change or tire swap. - If you are using tire warmers,check to make
sure the warmers are on and functioning.
NEVER
- Ignore the fl ags.
- Slam on the brakes when you see a red fl ag.
- Ride counter to the direction of traffi c.
- Re-enter the track after running off without
looking twice and getting clearance from a cor-
ner worker. - Ride a motorcycle that is leaking onto the
track, or try to ride a leaking motorcycle back
to the pits via the track. - Dive into the pits or leave the track with-
out clearly signaling your intentions well in
advance. - Leave the pits without checking fuel level.
- Ignore loud noises coming from your engine
or fl uid on your pegs or boots. Something bad
is happening. Pull in before something worse
happens. - Ride drunk, stoned, hung over, or under the
infl uence of prescription drugs.
