Here are some helpfultips to find convenient
parkingwhen you visit the museum:

• Theymuseumencouragesallvisitorstoparkin
  ourfreeparkinggarage,accessedfromtheleft
  side of IllinoisSt. just north of 30th St.


• Freesurfaceparkingis availableinourWater
  ClockLot,whichcanbeaccessedfromIllinois
  St.northoftheparkinggarageentranceand
  exit lanes.


• If youareaskedtopayforparking,theparking
  lotis notassociatedwithTheChildren’s
  MuseumofIndianapolis.Museumparkingis
  alwaysfree.


• Pleaserefrainfromparkingonneighbourhood
  streets.


• Both the garage and Water Clock Lot have
  designated ADA parking spaces.

On very busy days, you may see museum staff
directing vehicles to our overflow parking lots
north of the Water Clock Lot, and occasionally even
to our bus parking lot.  
The parking garage is connected to the museum
by the Skywalk. All visitors are encouraged to use
the Skywalk to cross Illinois St., instead of having to
wait to cross traffic on the busy street itself. 
These two great things around Indy this May

simply add to the host of options for any race fan,

or family fan and add to what can only ever be a

great 500 weekend.

Just before we finish this Departure Lounge

edition here is a quick reminder as well on the

key days at the Speedway in those last few days

leading up to the running of the 500. Remember

there are loads of things all month from the Indy

GP on the IMS Road Course, the practice days, the

drama of qualifying weekend ,so be sure to check

the IMS website or look the race Control FaceBook

page and we will have a complete day by day

posting there for you as well for the entire month.
