Most roses can be successfully

propagated from cuttings. he best time

PROPAGATE A ROSE

rooting hormone powder and shake

honey with your ingertip. Honey

works well, as it contains amino acids

and growth factors.

●^3 FILL a pot with propagating mix,

make a hole with your inger or a pencil,

position the cutting and irm down the

mix. Place in a sheltered, shady spot and

keep the mix moist. In late spring, gently

pull the cuttings to see if they’ve rooted.

●^1 MAKE the cutting 25cm long,

cutting above a bud at the top to

remove the shoot tip and below

a bud at the base using clean, sharp

secateurs. Leave one leaf set at the

top, removing all the lower leaves.
